Kdlu Cafe Personal Chef - Intimate Dinner Parties

Allow me to cook for you and clean up too.

 As your personal Chef, on our initial visit, I will meet with you in your home to discuss your plans, what you love and what you hate to eat, any special diet or allergies and decide on a menu and price. This meeting will also allow me to become acquainted with you, your dining and kitchen atmosphere. During this time a deposit will be required and a signed contract confirming all plans and fees.

I will prepare the food items you have selected from the menu either in my kitchen and bring them to yours or in your kitchen. All set up and clean up is included in the price. I only ask that you provide the necessary items, dinnerware, eating utensils, drinking glasses, napkins, and a table cloth and candles if you so desire. On the day or night of your luncheon or dinner, I will arrive an hour ahead to set up or two and a half hours ahead if I am cooking in your home , be ready to serve your lunch or dinner at the specified time, clean up and stay until dessert is served. The remaining balance is due when I arrive on the day of service.  

Average price per person for dinner is $50.00 - $75.00, for luncheon is $25.00 - $35.00 per person plus $35.00 per hour for labor. All organic meals are available for an additional $20.00 per person.

Special event catering is available upon request. Prices and menu created to suit client.

Family Kid Friendly Meals

 Family of two - four:  $ 85.00 

 Five to seven: $105.00

·         Lasagna with salad and bread or rolls

·         Spaghetti  with green beans and bread or rolls

·         Breaded boneless chicken breast or tenderloins  with mashed potatoes and vegetables

·         Stir-fry vegetables with chicken and rice

·         Chicken pot pie

Desserts -

·         Vanilla or Chocolate ice cream

·         Jell o

·         Pudding

·         Strawberry shortcake

 

Courses:

Anti Pasta - Salads, or Slightly Cooked Vegetables

·         Wet mozzarella with tomato and fresh basil drizzled with olive oil, Shrimp or salami Bruchetta,

·         Baby Greens and/or Spinach with an assortment of fresh and seasonal vegetables (carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, radicchio) and fruit (apples, pears, citrus or berries) drizzled with olive oil and a juice or vinegar to complement spices, nuts or seeds and cheese.

·         Quinoa Walnut Salad

·         Winter Salads: Warm potato with celery, Winter salad(cabbage, radicchio, endive) with walnuts

·         Fresh seasonal vegetables lightly cooked and drizzled in warm olive oil and spices

Salads as meals

·         Strawberry, chicken and arugula

·         Paprika lemon chicken salad

·         Apple-cranberry salmon salad

·         Salmon citrus salad

Course Two - Soup or Pasta and Grains in a sauce or broth

·         Lintel and rice with greens, Tuscan Minestrone, White bean, Creamy thyme Potato, Split pea, Creamed Tomato Tarragon, Vegetable or Fish and fennel stew

·         Pasta in a clear broth, marinara, or creamy with spices. Your choice of mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, roasted bell peppers, olives, and capers can be added.

·         Linguine with ginger, garlic and chili

·         White wine, garlic and butter sauce with shrimp and sage served over penne pasta.

·         Risotto with arugula and taleggio or wild mushrooms

·         Chickpeas in a seasoned broth (this goes well with a white fish)

·         Couscous or Quinoa flavored with fresh spices, vegetables or fruit

Course Three - Meat, Fish, Poultry, or Vegetarian  

Beef:

·         Beef Tenderloins with bourbon cherries

·         Beef tenderloins with tomato blue cheese salsa

·         Flank Steak with ginger and beer

Pork :

·         Lavender and honey Roast marinated and slowly cooked,

·         Smothered Chops with a hint of sweet and spicy

·         Boneless chops with cranberry orange chutney

Poultry:

·         Breaded Chicken, or turkey topped with pear chutney

·         Chicken with olives and Rosemary

·         Chicken baked with lemon

·         Cornish hens with red wine vinegar

·         Honey Balsamic glazed chicken

·         Chicken with black bean chipotle sauce

·         Turkey medallions with honey chipotle sauce

·         Boneless chicken breast smothered and cooked in a mango pineapple chutney with a hint of jalapeño

Fish:

·         Pan cooked salmon with OJ, soy sauce, honey and ginger

·         Broiled Salmon with cucumber lemongrass salsa

·         Red curry crusted grouper

·         Salt Cod with chickpeas and gremolata

·         Wasabi crusted Mahi Mahi with ponzu sauce

Shrimp:

·         Creamy white wine Alfredo with Shrimp, tomatoes, and mushrooms served over Fettuccini.

·         White wine, garlic and butter sauce with shrimp and sage served over penne pasta.

·         Shrimp and vegetable stir fry with rice

·         Chili rubbed tequila shrimp

Vegetarian:

·         Wild mushroom and aged gouda tart

·         Risotto Cakes with roasted vegetables

·         Italian grilled cheese with artichoke salad

·         Risotto with arugula and taleggio or wild mushrooms

·         Couscous or Quinoa and beans flavored with fresh spices, vegetables or fruit

·         Ratatouille

·         Roasted Vegetable Lasagna

·         Sautéed vegetables served over rice

 

Course Four - Vegetables

·         Fresh and Seasonal mixture steamed or sautéed in fresh spices and oil

·         Chicory, Kale, and spinach sautéed with garlic and chili

·         Green beans and mushrooms cooked with garlic and basil

·         Asparagus steamed with lemon, dill and garlic drizzled with butter

·         Potato gratin with tomatoes, olives and capers

·         Whipped sweet potatoes with garam masala

·         Mashed garlic Potatoes with tarragon

Course Five - Dessert

·         Lemon Blueberry or Raspberry Chocolate Cheesecake

·         Flourless chocolate cake

·         Lemon, Strawberry, Raspberry or Blueberry vanilla Torte

·         Almond lemon tart

·         Cafe Gelato

·         Ginger Melon Sorbet

·         Fig gratin (seasonal)

·         Tiramisù

Bread, Coffee, Tea and Water are included in the price. Wine, Champagne and other alcoholic beverages are offered at an additionally cost of $10.00 per person.
